Extends the effectiveness of certain provisions relating to the establishment of certain water charges for hospitals and charities in New York City
The above-referenced bill would extend a reduction in water charges that has long been offered to hospitals and other charitable organizations in New York City. The New York State Catholic Conference supports this legislation.
During these trying times, New Yorkers are increasingly reliant on charitable organizations as they struggle to support themselves and their families. The work being done by these groups is critical, but it can be financially difficult to keep up with increased demand. The measure of relief provided by this legislation will help the all-important hospitals and charitable organizations of New York City to continue serving people in need.
This legislation will provide needed relief to charitable organizations doing critical work for New York families. We urge you to support it.
