Catholic Charities

For more than a century, Catholic Charities has been the engine by which the Catholic Church in New York State has fulfilled Jesus’ mandate to care for the most vulnerable among us. Every year, more than 1.1 million individuals and families of all religious faiths are served by Catholic Charities. Services are provided in all 62 counties of our vast state and include soup kitchens, food pantries, adoption and foster care, immigrant and refugee services, housing programs, emergency assistance, counseling, childcare, behavioral health services, prison ministry and much more.

Our programs extend to men, women, and children of every faith (or no faith at all). We exist not because those we serve are Catholic, but because we are Catholic.

If you need assistance, we can help. Please contact your local Catholic Charities agency, linked below, for more information.

The New York State Catholic Conference facilitates the efforts of the NYS Council of Catholic Charities Directors, made up of the leadership of the various diocesan Catholic Charities agencies throughout the Empire State, enabling them to speak with one voice in advocating for the poor and vulnerable.
